What is CoffeeBerry® Whole Fruit Extract?
CoffeeBerry® Whole Fruit Extract is a product derived from the fruit of the coffee plant (Coffea arabica), from which the commonly known coffee bean is derived. When harvested at a sub-ripe growth stage, the flesh of the fruit is at peak antioxidant concentration and developed into the extract known as CoffeeBerry® Whole Fruit Extract.

What is the history and origin of the coffee plant?
The coffee plant is believed to have come from the Horn of Africa, along the Red Sea. It is thought that tribes in Ethiopia crushed the fruit of the plant, the coffee cherry, for food.

How were coffee cherries found to have anti-aging properties?
The interest in coffee cherry first arose when the hands of coffee fruit harvesters seemed unusually youthful in spite of exposure to harsh tropical sunlight. The naturally high antioxidant capacity of coffee cherry is believed to account for the strikingly visible difference. Through scientific testing it has been proven that, at the sub-ripe growth stage, the flesh of the coffee cherry contains more antioxidant power than green tea and vitamins C and E.

What is an ORAC Score?
